& Juliet (Touring)

& Juliet is the jukebox musical that asks what would have happened if Juliet hadn't gone through with the ending Shakespeare wrote for her. The score is built from Max Martin's pop catalog — the songs behind Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson — stitched into a story about Juliet skipping town for Paris and figuring out who she is on her own terms. It's big, funny and loud, and the crowd tends to sing along whether or not they meant to. This is the touring production, so expect full staging and a cast that moves. First Interstate Center for the Arts is the big indoor theater downtown, the room where the large-scale touring shows land, and it draws a mixed all-ages house for nights like this.
